Student Diversity

Students from all caste and creed of society study in the college in an amiable environment. Admission process as notified by the state government is followed in letter and spirit. The college fees is ascertained in such a way that more and more students of the weaker sections of society can seek admission. In order to promote girls’ education, girls’ tuition fee is exempted.

Students of weaker sections and reserved category can avail themselves of the scholarships provided by the Department of Social Welfare, Chief Minister’s Scholarship Scheme, Minority Scholarship and by other social organisations. Scholarship is also provided to the students scoring highest marks by the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthanam.

Academic Flexibility

The desired qualification for admission to the three-year degree course (Shastri) is Varishtha Upadhyaya Pass. However, as per university notification, Senior Secondary (10+2) with Sanskrit as an optional subject- pass student can seek admission, the choice of the optional subject being limited to Sahitya Shastra. Such student needs to pass a local test of Elementary Sanskrit organised by the college. Similarly, BA pass student can also seek admission to Acharya (Sahitya Shastra).
